InterContinental Priority Club Rewards has updated its PointBreak hotels that are available for a mere 5,000 points per night for stays through Aug. 31, 2009. Most of the hotels are Holiday Inn Express or Holiday Inn Hotels, which normally start at 10,000 points for an award night, but there are a few Crowne Plaza and Hotel Indigo hotels that generally require 25,000 points per night and are discounted 80 percent with the PointBreaks offer.

A few notable PointBreak properties include the Crowne Plaza Hotel Tampa-Westshore, Indigo St. Petersburg Downtown-North, Holiday Inn Hotel Paris-Gare De L’Est, Crowne Plaza Hotel Vilnius and InterContinental Melbourne the Rialto. Be sure to book PointBreak stays as soon as possible because awards are limited at these rates and tend to sell out quickly.
