SAS EuroBonus recently received some good news. The Swedish Market Court’s injunction prohibiting SAS from awarding EuroBonus points to domestic passengers has been lifted. Members can now earn points for travel within Sweden.

But others news was not so good. From the first of this month, the cost to upgrade with points has increased. Upgrading from Economy Extra to business class between Scandinavia and the rest of Europe will double from 10,000 points to 20,000. And upgrading on flights from Scandinavia to Asia, the Middle East and the U.S., will cost you more as well: economy to Economy Extra will now be 20,000, up from 10,000; Economy Extra to business class will be 30,000, up from 20,000 and from economy to business will cost 50,000 points, up from 30,000.

In other news, SAS has signed with Loylogic to operate a new SAS EuroBonus Reward Shop in 2009 offering, “exceptional choice including auctions, games and the very latest gadgets, gizmos and services offering universal appeal, no matter what a member’s tastes may be,” according to a Loylogic press release.
