Northwest WorldPerks members with 1,000 miles to spare can redeem miles for a set of custom luggage tags. You can choose a picture from a library of images where you’ll find cityscapes, nature scenes and cultural wonders such as the Taj Mahal and Great Wall of China or upload your own picture to be placed on the front of your tag. On the back of the tag you can enter your contact information on up to four lines of text. The offer is only open to members with a U.S. or Canadian address and a maximum of five sets are allowed per member.

We tested out the offer and uploaded our own image to the luggage tags. The process only took a few minutes and was easy to complete, but make sure you are using Windows Explorer version 7.0 or later as your Web browser. We tried using Safari on a Mac and were unable to upload a photo. The site states that “Mozilla Firefox and Apple’s Safari browsers on both Windows and Macintosh operating systems may experience difficulty in using the site.”

The Web site states this is a limited time offer, so be sure to redeem quickly before the offer ends. Phillip Lies, Manager, WorldPerks Program, said customer response to the new award offer has been extremely positive. WorldPerks added the bag tag because, “We simply wanted to add a fun way to engage customers and also offer another way for members to use their miles.”
