There’s nothing quite like planning your next big trip — it’s almost as fun as the trip itself and award trips are no exception. InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is set to open Vietnam’s tallest hotel in 2011. The InterContinental Hanoi Landmark will occupy the upper floors of a new 336-meter tower (over 1,110 feet — 70 stories) that will be one of the world’s top 20 tallest buildings.

The hotel will have 383 rooms and suites and 300 serviced residences. Its location in the center of Hanoi’s new commercial, business, entertainment and retail district will offer guests plenty to do and the hotel will feature its lobby, restaurants and bars on the 60th floor with elevators to guest rooms on the 59th to 69th floors. Topping the hotel will be the world’s highest Club InterContinental lounge. No word yet on the hotel category the awards will be in, but like we said, it’s always fun to plan!
