Recent news focused on a nationwide “frequent flyer drug bust” in Los Angeles. Reports indicated that 22 people were arrested who were using commercial airline flights from Los Angeles to Cleveland to smuggle narcotics. The FBI says the smugglers used frequent flyer miles and pre-paid credit cards belonging to west coast businessmen to traffic millions of dollars of drugs from Los Angeles to Cleveland, mostly on Southwest Airlines flights. Police say they strapped cocaine, PCP and marijuana to their bodies and wore girdles to conceal it. Those arrested are charged with federal conspiracy to distribute narcotics and trafficking. No wonder we can’t find any award seats between these two cities …
