Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan has announced a new program that allows members to transfer miles from one account to another.

The new mileage transfer program gives members the option to transfer up to 100,000 miles per year from one Mileage Plan account to another. Miles can be transferred in increments of 1,000 up to 30,000 miles per transaction. The mileage transfer service is available at the airline’s Web site.

Members transferring miles will pay a $25 fee per transaction and will be charged one cent per mile transferred.
