American Airlines has announced an elite rewards offer to AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum and Gold members. Elite members who meet specified miles/points goals set for each elite status level by Dec. 31, 2006 will have the option of making a selection from a list of rewards.

Qualified members will be sent an email in January 2007 inviting them to choose their reward.

Executive Platinum members who earn 125,000 or more elite-qualifying miles or points during 2006 will be given their choice of two one-way system-wide upgrades, a one-year Admirals Club membership, 20,000 bonus miles, or Gold status for a companion.

Platinum members must earn 75,000-99,999 elite qualifying miles or points, and Gold members, 40,000-49,999, to qualify for similar rewards.
