Bangkok Airways launched its first-time-ever loyalty program, entitled “FlyerBonus,” last month. The announcement was made at a press conference joined by several corporate partners, including hotels, credit cards, and travel-related businesses.
The airline has planned for two launching phases: The soft launch in December to create awareness of the program in the market; and the official launch on Jan. 1, to coincide with the New Year celebration.
Prote Setsuwan, Bangkok Airways’ Director of Marketing Strategy, described the program as the airline’s latest move to retain the existing market of the airline’s frequent travelers. Thus FlyerBonus is structured to best suit clients who reside in and around Thailand. The program also covers trips made on Siem Reap Airways International, which is also one of the partners.
FlyerBonus provides online registration and news and updates through its Web site: http://www.bangkokair.com/flyerbonus . Tiers of membership are split into two levels: Priority members and Premier members. Membership status is upgraded to higher tiers when members accumulate 200 points within one calendar year.
Qualified members will get one free one-way domestic ticket with 10 paid domestic segments flown. Members can also redeem points for hotel accommodations or car rental services.
