American Express and JetBlue Airways will issue a co-branded credit card to consumers later this summer that will allow cardmembers to earn award dollars convertible to points in JetBlue’s TrueBlue program. The card will come with an annual fee, and a “competitive” interest rate. Consumers can sign up to receive more information about the card, when it’s available later this summer, by going to http://www.jetbluecard.com and providing their e-mail address. JetBlue’s TrueBlue members will be the first to receive details and an application.

In December 2004, American Express added JetBlue to its Membership Rewards program for enrolled cardmembers to transfer points directly into TrueBlue for travel with the airline. The partnership between TrueBlue and Membership Rewards exceeded the one-year goal within the first three months.
