There’s never been a better time to rent — a car, that is.

Between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30, WorldPerks members who rent from Alamo Rent A Car, Dollar Rent A Car, National Car Rental or Thrifty Car Rental will see the miles they earn matched by Northwest.

Assuming rental rates are relatively equal, Thrifty and Dollar hold the clear advantage here, at least for rentals of four days or fewer. Both award 250 miles for any rental up to seven days and 500 miles for rentals of eight days or longer (prior to Aug. 1, however, Dollar still offered 50 miles per day). Alamo and National each offer 50 miles per day.

Unfortunately, WorldPerks’ car partners are not offering any standard double- or triple-mileage promotions for the time being, so members will be limited to earning a maximum of 100 miles per day from Alamo and National or 500 miles per rental from Thrifty and Dollar.
