Effective May 1, AAdvantage members will be eligible to earn one mile per dollar spent on qualifying rentals — a doubling of the current one mile per two dollars spent. Most other partners (Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar and National) remain at a flat 50 miles per day (Europcar offers 60 per day).
In essence, Hertz is lifting itself up to the level of its competitors in terms of earning (assuming the average rental is $50-60 a day).
