Thrifty Car Rental is offering its customers triple frequent flyer miles on no fewer than eight airlines until Nov. 14.

Alaska Mileage Plan, American AAdvantage, Continental OnePass and Delta SkyMiles members can earn triple (150 miles) their normal mileage award per rental day when renting through Thrifty.com.

America West FlightFund, Northwest WorldPerks, United Mileage Plus and US Airways Dividend Miles members can earn triple (750 miles) their normal mileage award per transaction when renting through Thrifty.com.

A two-day minimum is required and applies to compact cars and above. Rentals between two and seven days in length are eligible for the triple miles award. After seven days, miles will be awarded at the normal level.

The offer — a pretty generous one at a time when many car rental companies are tightening their belts — is good for travel in the U.S., Caribbean, Latin America and Mexico.

And if hotel points are more your style, Hilton HHonors members will receive triple (750 points) their normal point award when paying for their stay with a Visa card.
