In our last issue, we took a look at Miles & More, one of the world’s premier frequent flyer programs. Despite our best efforts, it appears that two minor errors slipped past the editors.
We reported that award documents, once issued, could not be transferred to third parties. In fact, award documents may be so transferred, provided they are not sold or bartered. We also suggested that miles earned through the program expired in 36 months for non-elite members. While this is technically true, it should be noted that holders of the Lufthansa Visa card are exempt from mileage expiration, regardless of their status.
Thanks to Lufthansa for clearing this up.
