United Airlines has reassured passengers that, despite its Chapter 11 bankruptcy, its Australian operations will continue.

United is the only U.S. airline flying to Australia and the major competitor to Qantas and Air New Zealand on routes to the U.S. across the Pacific. According to the airline, no tickets or frequent flyer miles would be jeopardized.
