America West FlightFund has joined forces with Prime Rewards — the loyalty program of AmeriSuites and Wellesley Inns and Suites. Through February 28, FlightFund members can earn double miles on every qualifying stay.

We’re pleased to point out that this new partnership is particularly beneficial in that it does allow double-dipping — Prime Rewards members earn both FlightFund miles and points for every dollar spent on qualifying stays.

Visit amerisuites.com or wellesleyonline.com to enroll or update your information in the Prime Rewards program. Be sure to add your FlightFund number in the “Add/Edit Partner” section of your account and select FlightFund as your active partner.

America West is also getting the year started with a push toward elite status. From Jan. 1 through April 15, a few jumps through some hoops will land you with 5,000 miles, all of which will count toward elite status. To earn the miles, members must complete four roundtrips (booked online at Americawest.com), conduct three transactions with America West’s hotel or car partners and two transactions with select business partners (Earthlink, PeopleFirst, H&R Block).

Keeping in mind that Elite Silver status can be earned with just 25,000 base miles, this is definitely a start in the right direction.
