After a successful summer launch, Air Canada is once again allowing its members to use Aeroplan miles for non-air rewards, including hotel stays, car rentals and ski packages. Here’s a breakdown of some of the awards:
Ski packages
Aeroplan members can exchange their miles for three- or five-day ski packages including accommodations and ski lift tickets at Intrawest resorts Mont Tremblant (Quebec), Blue Mountain Resorts (Ontario) and Whistler Blackcomb and Panorama Resorts (British Columbia). Ski packages start at 25,000 Aeroplan miles per person.
Heli-ski packages
Feeling adventurous? Aeroplan members can redeem their miles for a heli-ski adventure from April 12 through April 19 in the Selkirk Mountains. The package includes a return flight in Executive Class to Calgary from any destination in Canada or the Continental United States served by Air Canada, transportation to and from the Calgary Airport, accommodations and meals at the Adamant Lodge and 100,000 vertical feet of skiing with certified professional mountain guides. The heli-ski package starts at 700,000 Aeroplan miles per person.
Hockey packages
Hockey fans can redeem their miles for packages with the Montreal Canadiens, such as a parent/child day with the hockey team, VIP evenings or afternoons and two unique road trips to away games in Florida and Washington that include three-night accommodations, a charter flight with the Canadiens, a return flight on Air Canada to Montreal, tickets for two hockey games and $1,000 in US spending money. The mileage cost of the packages start at 125,000 miles per person. Road trips start at 500,000 per person.
Other new non-air awards opportunities include hotel stays at any of more than 2,000 Best Western hotels in Canada, the U.S, or Caribbean and at more than 35 Delta Hotels across Canada starting at 15,000 Aeroplan miles per night and three-day weekend and two-day car rentals beginning at 14,000 Aeroplan miles.
Some blackout dates apply and the number of awards is limited, so if any of these awards sound like something you would like to use your miles for this winter, don’t delay. All rewards are available exclusively online at http://www.aeroplan.com.
