When United Airlines recently named Glenn Tilton as its new Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer we were naturally disappointed. We’re sure Glenn is a pretty good guy or United wouldn’t have given him all those titles. But we were rooting for Adam Aron, former SVP of Marketing at United Airlines who went on to be president of a cruise line and now serves as CEO of Vail Resorts.

Why Aron? Years ago, while he was at United, he was particularly fond of this magazine and one year gave Premier level status to every single subscriber. I think there are still some of you around who took advantage of that offer and never looked at another airline.
