The Mileage Plus Gold Class Visa is now available to United Mileage Plus Members. For an $85 annual fee, a new card holder can earn a 15,000 mile sign-up bonus, a one-way one-class upgrade and a $25 United discount travel certificate after the first purchase. The card offers at least one mile for every dollar spent and 2,500 anniversary miles.

Clearly, these are some great sign-up incentives. But an $85 fee for 2,500 miles? That’s about 29.41 cents a mile. Hardly a bargain, miles-wise. Still, you may want to check out the terms and conditions.
