America West Airlines is preparing to donate 20 million FlightFund miles to Miles of Hope when it reaches its goal of carrying 2.5 million passengers by the end of the year.

Miles of Hope is a program created by America West to allow FlightFund to donate frequent flyer miles to charity. Four national, non-profit agencies benefit from the Miles of Hope program including the American Red Cross, Angel Flight, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the National Runaway Switchboard. The donations will be used to fulfill each agency’s mission, which span from transporting volunteers assisting with relief efforts to providing family reunification to youths in crisis.
