There was a rumor going around that Hilton HHonors Point Stretcher awards had been permanently discontinued. Point Stretcher awards have been around for over a decade and members can redeem points at select hotels for 40 percent fewer points with Point Stretchers. Thankfully, these awards have only disappeared temporarily. Scott Carman, Director of Communications, Customer Marketing told us, “Our Point Stretcher Rewards are offered for limited periods of time, and while we are not currently offering Point Stretcher Rewards, we are offering alternatives to our members, including our new Points & Money Rewards, which are available throughout the year at participating properties. Points & Money Rewards allow members to combine points with money to book standard rooms. We are excited that this new option will allow our members to spend fewer points for the same experiences that were available through booking with Point Stretcher Rewards.” And one of the questions included in the FAQ list about the new award options is: “Will the current Point Stretcher Rewards still be available?” The answer is “Yes. Point Stretcher Rewards will still be available.”
