US Airways is the latest airline to announce it will begin offering in-flight connectivity early next year. The service will be offered through Aircell Gogo and will include Web browsing, instant messaging, email and VPN access. The cost will range from $5.95 to $12.95, depending on the length of the flight and type of WiFi-enabled device. US Airways will begin installing the service on its Airbus A321 aircraft on domestic flights.

Aircell’s Gogo service is currently available on select American Airlines and Delta Air Lines aircraft, all Virgin America flights and all of AirTran’s planes departing from U.S. destinations. United Airlines will begin offering Gogo in-flight Internet in the fall and Air Canada has plans to install the service soon. Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines have both begun testing in-flight WiFi with Internet provider Row 44.
