The DING! desktop software distributed by Southwest Airlines has been upgraded to include new personalization features that provide users with more customized offers and flight-specific fares at discounted prices. The new features allow customers to nominate up to 10 “favorite airports,” for which they will be notified of cut-price fares. Customers can choose their 10 airports through the “update registration” page in the software. This allows them to narrow the offers about which they receive notifications. The updated software is available for both Windows and Apple users.
According to Southwest Airlines, over $130 million in DING! fares have been booked since its introduction in February 2005.
