Delta Air Lines has announced that Canadian consumers and organizations can now buy Delta frequent flyer miles online.

Canadian members may purchase 1,000 SkyMiles at a cost of $0.0275 USD per mile, plus applicable U.S. and Canadian taxes and a processing fee. The miles can also be purchased as gifts, and multiple gifts may be given with one transaction. What’s more, the purchaser does not have to be a SkyMiles member.

All transactions are subject to a 7.5-percent U.S. Government Excise Tax, a 7-percent Canadian GST tax and a $25 USD processing fee per transaction.
