Summary

There are reports around the Internet at various travel weblogs that the least expensive way to visit Antarctica is to travel to Ushuaia and book a cruise at the last minute. However, how soon you can secure a space aboard a vessel leaving for Antarctica at the last minute depends on the occupancy of the vessel and the policies of the company operating the vessel — plus you have no idea how little — or how much — money you are going to spend.

In the case of this sale, you have the opportunity to secure a reservation for definite dates and times — subject to the weather and other potential variables of traveling to Antarctica — for relatively not much more money than running down blind to Ushuaia…
