This offer for a free day is valid on certain vehicles from the Luxury, Adrenaline, Green and Prestige Cars groups only at participating Hertz locations in the United States and is subject to availability; and it excludes the renting of the 2016 Ford Shelby GT-H and vehicles which are part of the Dream Collection — meaning forget about renting that Porsche 911. Think more of a Chrysler 300 as a luxury car you can rent as a part of this promotion. However, you can rent such vehicles as a Mercedes SLK250 convertible; a Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible; or a Cadillac Escalade.

Summary

There is no indication that you can earn only one free day of renting a vehicle with this promotion; and if that is indeed the case, all of your reservations for the remainder of this year must be booked by the deadline tomorrow. There is also no indication that this offer is specifically targeted to anyone.

This is by no means a “flash sale” — anything can supposedly be called a “flash sale” these days — where you should trip over yourself and take advantage of it; but if you enjoy renting certain quasi-aspirational vehicles which are not your typical rental car and you plan on renting one from Hertz this year, you can at least earn a free day out of it.

If, however, you are looking to save money on renting cars and seeking a value proposition as your primary objective, this promotion is not for you.
