Four stays at Wyndham properties can net you 6,000 miles by January – quadruple AAdvantage miles
American AAdvantage members can earn up to quadruple AAdvantage miles on your second, third and fourth qualifying Wyndham Hotel Group stays when registering for the promotion and booking by Jan. 16, 2015, with arrival dates by Jan. 16, 2015, and completing the stays by Jan. 23, 2015.
Normally, Wyndham Rewards members who choose to earn AAdvantage miles earn two miles per dollar spent on room rates at Wingate by Wyndham, Ramada, Days Inn, Super 8, Baymont, Microtel, Howard Johnson, Travelodge, Knights Inn and 500 miles per stay at the more upscale brands including Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Hawthorn, TRYP by Wyndham, Dream and Night hotels.

So if my first stay is at a cheap motel like days inn, but my 2nd, 3rd and 4th stays are at a Wyndham, do I earn 6000 miles?
The only way a member could earn up to the maximum 6,000 miles is if they stay at the hotels that offer 500 miles for each stay (2,000 miles during this promotion): Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Hawthorn, TRYP by Wyndham, Dream and Night hotels.
The other hotels, Wingate by Wyndham, Ramada, Days Inn, Super 8, Baymont, Microtel, Howard Johnson, Travelodge and Knights Inn normally earn two miles per dollar spent, so with this promotion, you would earn eight miles per dollar spent at these hotels.
The quadruple points don’t kick in until your second stay.
What I said was I would stay at Wyndham hotels on 2nd, 3rd and 4th stays. But where to have the first stay should not matter, right?
Sorry, I didn’t understand your question. You are correct, you could stay at a cheaper hotel for your first stay. There is nothing in the fine print stating otherwise.
