JAL is upgrading its in-flight products and services including offering in-flight WiFi that passengers can access via their laptops, smartphones and mobile devices. The service is available on 77 aircraft, including domestic 777-200/300, 767-300/300ER and 737-800. Passengers can use their own wireless LAN devices to watch in-flight entertainment including video games and access flight information and the JAL website at no charge. In addition, JAL Mileage Bank members can use their miles to redeem coupons for in-flight WiFi.

The Gogo WiFi service features plans starting at 400 JPY for 30 minutes. JAL will provide Diamond, Premier and Sapphire members coupons for free in-flight WiFi service each year.
