Air Canada is introducing onboard WiFi access beginning this month, with the aim of WiFi access on 130 aircraft in North America by the end of 2015. By the end of this year, 29 aircraft will have the service. The price for the service from Gogo has not yet been determined but could include buying access for a number of weeks or flights or as a bundle available in premium fare classes. WiFi access to international destinations will be expanding as well.
Canada-based WestJet is also expanding their onboard WiFi program.
