American Airlines has redesigned its Web site with a new look and simpler navigation. The navigation menu has been moved from the left side of the page and is now located at the top of the screen. The dropdown menus can still be accessed when you mouseover a menu category.
Pages have been simplified, the font is bigger and the booking tool is more prominently displayed in the top left of the page. After logging in, AAdvantage members can now view their account status and mileage balance at the top of every page. There have been no changes to the award booking engine, however, and AAdvantage members still cannot search for or book flight awards on any partner airline. American announced that several other enhancements will be made to the Web site in the next 12 to 18 months.
