Customers can now book a multi-airline round-the-world airline ticket with oneworld’s new online booking tool. Travelers booking a oneworld Explorer ticket can search for flights on any of oneworld’s member airlines and affiliates and pay for their itinerary online.
The tool features an interactive map and when a traveler clicks on a desired destination, only flights with available seats on that route for the date selected will be shown. You will only be able to select valid cities, which will have a green dot next to them. Invalid cities will be displayed with a red dot. The tool will also validate an itinerary to make sure all fare rules and conditions have been met. After you have created the itinerary and start entering your personal information, you can choose the frequent flyer program you want to credit the miles to when adding your membership number. To use the tool, visit http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?1364 – You will need to have Flash 9 installed on your computer. Take note that the tool only works for oneworld Explorer tickets, which includes up to 16 segments.
