American Airlines has added some enhancements to aa.com that make it easier to book hotel stays. The hotel booking engine now includes thousands more hotel properties and more photos and information about individual properties. Visitors to the site can access virtual hotel tours, traveler ratings and area maps to help them decide on a place to stay. And AAdvantage members who book and complete a hotel stay through aa.com will receive 250 bonus miles.

If you make a reservation and find a cheaper rate online somewhere else for the same dates, hotel and room category, AA.com offers a lowest rate guarantee on select hotels and will either refund the difference or cancel your reservation at no cost when you contact American at (800) 960-7163 prior to the property’s cancellation deadline. Only properties with AA’s Price-Match Guarantee logo qualify for the refund program. And if you need to change or cancel your reservation for any reason, AA.com will not charge customers a fee to make changes to prepaid hotel reservations. However, you will be required to pay any change or cancellation fees charged by the participating hotel.
