Beginning Jan. 15, 2008, fees for re-crediting international flight awards on Thai and Star Alliance partner airlines and hotel award certificates can be paid in currency or miles. Flight awards can be re-credited for THB 3,800 or US$100 or 5,000 miles for regional flights or 8,000 miles for international flights.

Hotel awards can be re-credited for THB 2,200 or US$60 or 5,000 miles. Payment in cash or miles can be made at any Thai city office worldwide and payment in miles in some offices is instant while others without online ability will take three working days.
