Virgin America has announced it will be offering air-to-ground broadband Internet service on all flights sometime in 2008. Teaming up with AirCell, a Virgin America press release stated that guests onboard all VA flights will be able to access the Internet through their wi-fi enabled personal devices or through the Red Inflight Entertainment system at every seat. Flyers will be able to check and send Web e-mail from their seatbacks through the airline’s onboard chat system or using popular messaging services such as MSN, Google talk, Yahoo!, Skype and AIM. The date of the entire fleet rollout has not been set, but it is expected in 2008.
