Starwood Preferred Guest members will find a new look, new tools and features when visiting spg.com. After logging in, you can customize your account and choose to add up to nine items to be automatically displayed. Tools that can be added include special offers, upcoming reservations, favorite hotels and TheLobby.com, Starwood’s daily travel blog, which has been updated with better navigation and more reports and recommendations from hotel experts.

Members can also add tools like the Starpoint Tracker that helps members keep track of their point balance and wish lists. In addition, you can now view all methods of payment when searching for a hotel: cash, price in Starpoints or a combination of cash and points. You can access the hotel property information, including photos and special offers, without leaving the search page. Members can search for new travel destinations and hotels based on their personal interests and geographical preferences with the Hotel Explorer tool. You can look for luxurious spas in Europe or find locations on the West Coast that cater to golf enthusiasts.

Starwood has created a desktop application called SPG Check-In that will send personalized daily alerts about new offers as soon as they become available. SPG Check-In also features top stories from TheLobby.com and can be viewed on any handheld mobile device.
