AAdvantage members who book award travel online now have an easier way to redeem miles for award tickets with AAdvantage’s innovative award booking calendar. The new tool allows members to search for and book available award seats on any route flown by American, American Eagle or AmericanConnection. To access the new booking tool, visit AA.com and click “Redeem AAdvantage Miles.” After you type in the cities and travel dates, you can click “Exact Dates” or “Dates Flexible.” Choosing the “Dates Flexible” option will allow you to view a calendar including all awards available — from coach MileSAAver awards to first class AAnytime awards — over a four-week period.

If the desired award travel isn’t available on a particular date, the lowest level available award will be displayed. You can select the type of AAdvantage award you would like to redeem and then easily see at-a-glance which dates are available for each of the award levels. The screen also displays the number of miles in your AAdvantage account available for redemption. After you select an award level and travel dates, a schedule of available flights will be displayed. Once you choose your flights and verify the information, you can book the award ticket or put your itinerary on hold.
