Not everyone understands her popularity. Most think she’s just weird. But Hello Kitty is to Japan what David Hasselhoff is to Germany.

To mark EVA Air’s new service to Nagoya, and the anniversary of EVA’s “Hello Kitty” jet, Evergreen Club members flying from Taipei to any destination in Japan will receive an “EVA Kitty bargain booklet,” which includes Hello Kitty postcards, and discount coupons for the EVA Air sky shop, Sanrio and other joint-promotional shops.

Members will also have the chance to win a sweepstakes at the end of the promotion. Travel must commence before Oct. 31.
