COMMENTS
Fairmont bills itself as the largest luxury hotel company in North America. President’s Club is therefore in line with the trend in such hotels — it is primarily a guest-recognition program, as opposed to a rewards program. Perks, not points, rule the day.
Which is not to say that members can’t earn rewards; however, with FPC, the chance to earn free nights doesn’t kick in until after a member has reached Platinum status. While generally unusual, this is not unheard of with higher-end properties. The typical Fairmont customer is less interested in free nights than he or she is in perks. Extra free nights are almost an afterthought.
The three-tiered elite-level program is exceedingly generous, offering substantial benefits even to new enrollees.
