Australian travel agent group Flight Centre Ltd. said that it will introduce a customer loyalty program, RewardPass, which it hopes will boost sales and profit over the long term.
The Brisbane-based company expects the program “to make a considerable long-term contribution to sales and profit” and will initially spend A$1 million to establish the program.
Customers will earn one RewardPass point per dollar spent at Flight Centre’s retail shops while continuing to earn bank reward and frequent flyer points.
Over time, the program will be available to corporate travel businesses and international operations, Chief Executive Shane Flynn said in a statement.
Flight Centre customers can swap RewardPass points for domestic or international airfare tickets as well as accommodation, car hire, cruises and tours.
