Emirates Skywards, which won last year’s Freddie award for “Best Award Redemption,” is making a strong run at another Freddie.

The program has recently launched an online reward booking facility. The new online service, available to Skywards members in 26 countries, lets members check award flight availability through a real-time booking engine.

To entice members to give the new tool a try, Skywards has cranked up the incentives. Every member who uses the new reward booking engine through Sept. 15 will be entered into a pool, then 25 will be selected at random from that pool and will have the miles they used to claim their award re-credited to their account.

Members can use the new feature by accessing their membership account at http://www.skywards.com and selecting the “Online Booking” option under “Travel Planner.”
