As of September 1, Flying Dutchman members holding certain KLM or Northwest economy-class tickets to the U.S., Canada, Mexico or India will no longer be able to purchase an award upgrade in the Crown Lounges at Schiphol. This restriction does not apply to full-fare economy tickets (S/B or Y/B ticket fare classes).

Rules covering the purchase of an upgrade before the day of departure, as well as on the day of departure, to destinations other than mentioned above, remain unchanged till further notice.
