  • Points International has signed a three-year agreement with ACCENT Training, a company that specializes in online training. Beginning in September, the partnership will allow Smart Rewards members to exchange their points for redemption opportunities on Points.com. In addition, the loyalty currency offered through “assistant,” a service of KnowledgeFlow, Inc., can now be tracked and exchanged on Points.com. Assistant is a Web-based service that proactively matches an online shopper’s buying intent with opportunities to earn loyalty points…
  • Rewards Network has partnered with both US Airways Dividend Miles and eBay. Dividend Miles members earn five miles per U.S. dollar spent on room rates and meals at participating hotels and restaurants. And through Sept. 30, members will earn an additional five miles per U.S. dollar spent on room rates for every qualifying stay at select hotels, for a total of 10 miles. Through a new partnership with eBay, members can earn up to 10 eBay Anything Points for every dollar spent at participating restaurants and five Anything Points for every room rate dollar spent at participating hotels…
  • Best Western’s Gold Crown Club International no longer issues United Mileage Plus miles for hotel stays and has ceased offering the United redemption award.   • American Airlines has named Kurt Stache, 37, president, AAdvantage Marketing Programs. Stache fills a vacancy created by the departure of Dennis Cary earlier this month. Stache originally joined American in 1995. He has held increasingly responsible management positions within the airline’s Revenue Management department.   • Delta SkyMiles members who purchase a set of four Michelin passenger car or light truck tires at a U.S. Michelin retailer by Nov. 15 will earn 2,500 miles.
