- Through Aug. 31, Delta SkyMiles members can transfer the equivalent of 20,000 SkyMiles in points from a variety of partners and receive a pleasant little 5,000-mile bonus.
Though this transfer promotion includes most major hotel programs, Starwood Preferred Guest members can really benefit. During the promotional period, Starwood members will receive this bonus in addition to the 5,000-mile bonus they already receive when transferring 20,000 points to Delta SkyMiles, which means those 20,000 Starpoints will turn into a full 30,000 Delta SkyMiles. - Southwest is extending its online bonus credit offer until Dec. 31. - For the second straight year, Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan program took home the Freddie Award for Program of the Year. One reason for that success could be that they offer so many award sales. For this year’s summer award sale, travel between Seattle, Portland or San Francisco and Palm Springs, Calif., or Sun Valley, Idaho, has been reduced to 13,000 miles. This reduced-mileage award is valid for travel through Sept. 2. And by booking award travel online, members receive 1,000 bonus miles.
- Rewards Network has partnered with US Airways Dividend Miles. Through Sept. 30, Rewards Network members will earn an additional five miles per U.S. dollar spent on room rates at participating hotels. That means a $300 hotel stay could earn 3,000 Dividend Miles — not a bad bounty, that.
