Virgin America has rolled out a new app that will allow person-to-person social networking for business travelers when traveling on Virgin America.
Called Here On Biz, the app is available for free download from the Apple App Store and ties in with Virgin’s Gogo inflight Internet service so that users can locate and connect with their LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter contacts while onboard a Virgin America plane, at the airport or en route to a business meeting. Users can find other business professionals in your immediate area, receive an alert when contacts arrive in your area, see where your business contacts are at any time and create smart groups to network when on the same flight, at the same hotel or while attending the same event.
Through July 31, 2014, download the app when you check in at LAX, and you can get a discounted $30 pass to Virgin America’s Loft at LAX when you show your Here on Biz application on your smartphone at the front desk. The cost for a one-day Loft at LAX is normally $40.
If you are not feeling particularly social at any time you can set the privacy settings to shut off or limit visible connections to others. Visit http://www.hereon.biz to learn more.
