In the last International Edition InsideFlyer, we reported that the cost to upgrade SAS flights with points had increased. Recent news from the program includes a postponement of a points increase for standby upgrades. “Based on a dialogue with SAS’ most valuable customers, the EuroBonus members, SAS has now decided to postpone any price adjustment for the time being,” reads the SAS Web site. Standby upgrades (available at the gate on SAS flights) between Scandinavia and Europe from Economy Extra to business will remain 10,000 points; from Scandinavia to Asia, India, the Middle East and the U.S. will continue to be from 10,000 to 30,000 points depending on class of service.
