Though the end of April, Silvercar is offering all rentals at 20% off.
For those not familiar with Silvercar, they offer only Audi A4’s so you’re not stuck walking down an aisle trying to choose between rental car leftovers. Some rental car companies like Hertz try to upcharge for satellite radio, but all Silvercar vehicles have it included for no extra fee, plus free GPS and wifi.
The process for pick-up and drop-off is definitely nicer than your ordinary car rental experience. Everyone hates waiting for the shuttle bus…and waiting…only to see it swing around full and pass you by. Silvercar just has you notify them via their app or call them as soon as you have arrived at the airport, and they’ll pick you up in an Audi to take you to the lot. Sometimes, they’ll even have two vehicles meet you, so you can simply drive off in your rental car straight from the curb (and the employee can ride back in the other car). Then when you’re done with the rental, they’ll drop you back at the airport. They also have what they call a fair fuel plan, where you only pay for the gas you use (at local pump prices) plus a $5 fill-up fee.
When using a premium rental car service like Silvercar you will understandably find higher rates than with other companies like Budget or Dollar.
With their current promotion though, new and existing members will receive 20% off on all Silvercar rentals started by April 30, 2016.
