American Express Platinum cardholders can now access the Centurion Lounge, a benefit that used to be reserved for Global Centurion cardmembers only. Cardholders of other American Express cards could purchase access to the Centurion Lounge for $50 per day. Now, Centurion Lounge access is free for American Express Platinum cardholders and they can bring their spouse or domestic partner and children under 18 or two traveling companions as complimentary guests. The first Centurion Lounges are located in Las Vegas and Dallas Fort-Worth and more lounges are expected to be introduced. The American Express Platinum card also comes with lounge access to American, Delta and US Airways Clubs and Priority Pass membership. The card has a $450 annual fee that is partially offset by a $200 annual airline rebate.
