Travelex has partnered with MasterCard to introduce the Multi-Currency Cash Passport card, which is essentially a prepaid, reloadable debit card that can carry up to five foreign currencies simultaneously. Travelers can load British Pounds, Euros, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars and Japanese Yen to the card either online or in Travelex stores. Funds can also be transferred from one currency to the other. And the card has a magnetic stripe and chip and PIN technology, allowing it to be used wherever debit MasterCard or Maestro is accepted worldwide, including ATMs. There is no fee to add or spend money, but there is a $3 ATM withdrawal fee within the U.S. and similar fees for cash withdrawals in other countries. There is also an inactivity fee of $3 a month. Visit http://www.travelex.com/cashpassport to learn more about the card and fees.
You might also win some miles. Travelex and MasterCard have launched a sweepstakes and will give away a million miles to one winner. You can enter the sweepstakes in multiple ways.
