Priority Club Rewards was one of the few programs that allowed all earned points, including points earned from promotions and point purchases, to count towards qualifying for elite status. But the program has recently changed its terms and conditions and points are now classified as Elite Qualifying Points and Non-Elite Qualifying Points.
Points earned from hotel stays, partner transactions, PCR Bonus Points Packages and Meeting Rewards are considered elite-qualifying whereas all other transactions, including promotional points, points purchases, transfers and deposits will be Non-Elite Qualifying Points.
Bottom line: Overall, this is not a drastic change for members, especially those who earn most of their miles from hotel stays and partners.
