American Airlines has announced that it will introduce economy class premium seating in the front section of its 777-300ER planes starting in 2012 that will offer additional legroom. London is the first market for American’s 777-300ER planes. United has Economy Plus, Delta has Economy Comfort and now American’s planes will have a premium section in coach with roomier seats on some international flights. The airline hasn’t announced whether AAdvantage members will automatically be upgraded to the premium seats or whether the new seats will be rolled out to all aircraft.
