Aeroplan Adds Three Partners

Aeroplan Adds Three Partners

Aeroplan has recently announced three new partnerships, involving an insurance provider, a radio station, and a small business start-up advisor.

Aeroplan first announced a partnership with ING Canada Inc., to offer Aeroplan members the chance to earn miles on certain insurance products offered by ING subsidiaries. Members can earn miles this way starting in September, and further details of the exact products and services will be announced closer to that date. The insurance products that will attract miles will, however, include both home and vehicle insurance policies.

Next came the announcement that Aeroplan had signed a multi-year agreement with XM Canada, a national satellite radio provider, including a period of exclusivity, to enable XM Canada’s subscribers to earn Aeroplan miles.

Aeroplan members can participate in one of three introductory Aeroplan offers, through which they earn 2,500 Aeroplan miles for a C$200 Delphi RoadyXT package, 3,750 miles for a C$325 Delphi SKYFi2 package, or 5,000 miles for a C$425 Delphi XM MyFi package.

In addition, a bonus of 7,500 miles will be offered for those purchasing a C$550 Pioneer Inno package (as soon as the radio is available for sale in Canada).

These radio hardware packages are available for portable listening or for home or in-car installation. The offers are based on the package selected by the member, and the signing of a minimum one-year service agreement with XM Canada.

Finally, Aeroplan announced that online incorporation and corporate maintenance provider Corporation Centre has begun offering miles for users of some of its Internet-based start-up services for small businesses.
